All packages start with a complimentary Initial Design call. We’ll chat briefly about your needs to ensure I’m the right Designer for you.
If your project requires construction of any caliber, it’s recommended to reach out to a designer right away to save you from costly mistakes and the limitations it sets for the rest of the design. If you do nothing else, at least consult with a Designer prior to beginning work.
For furniture and accessories, it would ideally be 6 months prior your project start date but it’s never too early to get on the calendar. Our schedule fills up very quickly and often we have a waitlist that can be months long. In addition, good design takes time. I would recommend revisiting the timeline above and working your way backward from when you would like to have furniture in hand.
The first step is to schedule an Initial Design Call with me so I can better assess your needs and be sure I’m the right fit for you. This is a brief 15-minute call to discuss your investment, timeline, needs and talk about next steps.
I do not subscribe to any one style and pride myself on being able to meet all of my client’s design styles. With that being said, KH Home Design does prioritize designs that incorporate the use of color.
There are two types of fees you may see depending on your package.
All Full Service Design services utilize a minimum design fee model that is the minimum number of hours I believe your design will take at my hourly rate. This information is gathered at the consultation when we discuss scope of work and is based on historical data of similar projects and sizes.
Projects that require construction of any kind will also utilize an hourly model billed in 20-hour increments. These hours do not have an expiration date, but must be used within your project’s duration, and can be purchased as many times as needed for Project Management until completion.
In most cases, Full Service design is a very hands-off process for the clients. At a minimum, I require design feedback from Clients for direction and then handle everything else for you. I know you’re busy and don’t have time to answer a million questions so I’ll do all the heavy lifting for you.
I have a team of qualified, detailed-orientated, and quality craftsmanship o f contractors, subcontractors and tradespeople that I have worked with for several years. We communicate and work efficiently which thereby saves you time and eliminates a lot of errors ensuring a well rounded construction experience.
I have worked with contractors, subcontractors, and tradespeople outside of my team in the past sometimes with unfavorable experiences. However, if you have vetted them throughly and they are willing to communicate and collaborate with us, I’d be happy to discuss working with them on your upcoming project.
